Aside from the issue with the weekly breakfast deal applying to whatever your previous breakfast purchase was, be it a day or a week ago, i stead of the current order, this app has functioned almost flawlessly. It had been months since we’d gotten an update. Last week, while using the app, a pop up appeared informing me of a new update. After updating, the app became almost completely unresponsive and extremely laggy. It was nearly impossible to scroll through the menu without the app freezing up. The worst part was that for the first time, after placing a breakfast order, I was given a temporary order number that only changes once you arrive to the restaurant. Prior to this, since I’m just across the street from the location, I’d be informed that I was close and the order would be on the counter when I arrived and I’d be given an order number immediately. Something like 1661 as opposed to #MX9E. While this update maintained the message that the order would be ready, I arrive to the restaurant not only for the order not to be ready but for the temporary number to change to a cancellation notice for my order. For whatever reason, instead of prepping my order at the time of ordering, the app was waiting for me to be at the restaurant before passing it forward, which defeats the purpose of using the app, at least partially. So I rolled back to the previous version of the app and it’s back to being fully functional.

Good luck getting a refund. A flaw with the app!!!!
A very bad experience...
I ordered my food with the app, which is supposed to make it easy, but instead it was a pain! We made the order on the app and then chose curbside pick up. They don’t charge your card until you check in. So instead of saying, hey don’t charge the card because where the only McDonald’s in the world right now with NO ICE CREAM! They ran the card, made the food, and assumed having no ice cream was okay because our order was large. No it’s not and they should have came to our car before charging the card to inform us that our order would not be able to be completed as ordered. Instead they brought all the food out and asked if we wanted a shake or something instead. We asked for a refund instead and were told that since we did not pay at the store they could not refund us and we would have to call online to request a refund. We called online to request a refund and were told they they could not refund us our money and that we would have to call our bank and tell them the charge was not authorized.
This was a horrible experience that will not be forgotten. This whole process was supposed to be easy and it was not. To top it all off they think a coupon for a $.50 ice cream was going to suffice when we called. How can you offer a shake but not have ice cream? Aren’t shakes made out of ice cream?

If It Ain’t Broke Stop Fixing It.
The old app version had minimal issues for me (just very slow at times) but it worked well enough for me to be able to use it almost every day with ease, and the overall appearance was more streamlined, easier/faster to use. With this new version, this is the second time I am being charged a different total for my order in a week. Every time I order something I encounter a series of glitches- from orders that have been completed mysteriously popping up and adding to my new order, to being double charged for the same order, and now today - being given 3 different totals at the checkout and ultimately getting charged for the higher of the three without even confirming the order! When I went to pay with my saved credit card, the payment screen flashed THREE different totals and ultimately processed my order for the highest total (and double the items I ordered) without me even pressing the confirmation button. It wouldn’t even give me an option to cancel the order like the previous version of the app did. Then the agents at the window get frustrated with you when you try to explain & correct the order and hold up the line. Totally unacceptable.
